PRIVATE IN-HOME BEHAVIOR REHABILITATION | ALBUQUERQUE & SURROUNDING AREAS

Results-Based Behavioral Training for Albuquerque’s Most Complex Dogs.

Why pay for lessons when you can invest in results? We'll permanently resolve fears, reactivity, and even aggression through outcome-based training. No lesson counting. No expiration dates. Just a dog you can finally trust.

I specialize in specific behavioral cases and won't be a good fit for every client. Tell me about your dog's history, and I’ll personally review your case to see if we’re a match. You can expect a response within 24 hours.

Are Your Dog's Behaviors Shrinking Your World?

Is your daily peace interrupted by a dog that barks at every noise, leaving you constantly on edge?

Have you stopped hosting dinners or declined family gatherings because you can’t trust how your dog will react to guests?

Do you only walk your dog at 5:00AM or midnight just to avoid the stress of your dog's reactivity to other people and/or dogs?

Does it feel like your dog can only see red during outbursts, making you feel completely invisible and powerless at the end of the leash?

If your dog had a medical emergency tonight, would their fearful or defensive behaviors make life-saving care impossible for them to receive?

Are you living with the constant, underlying fear that one small mistake could lead to a bite, a lawsuit, or losing your dog forever?

Have you accepted isolation or limited freedom as a permanent part of your life because you’ve lost hope that your dog’s behaviors can actually change?

If you answered 'yes' to even one of these questions you don't have a "bad" dog - you have a complex case that standard training wasn't designed to fix.

Real Transformations In Albuquerque

Sandy

Albuquerque, NM

"I was at the point where I thought [Molly] might have to be rehoused because I just couldn't stop the bad behavior. I found Rhiannon and what a difference. I call her my dog whisperer because her soft and gentle tone gets results every time."

Alyssa Batts

Albuquerque, NM

"Rhiannon changed everything for us. She helped us work through reactivity, leash pulling, jumping, herding behaviors, and most importantly, confidence building—for both my dog and me. She took the time to truly understand my Border Collie as an individual and gave guidance that felt realistic, compassionate, and empowering."

Lou Ann Jordan

San Acacia, NM

"With only a few sessions, his abilities to accept new people and places is amazing. Opie would get concerned and tense with anything new. We now are able to go the golf course and the park without him getting upset."

Why Standard Training Fails For Complex Dogs

Most trainers focus on symptoms or sell you their time. Canis Fidelis resolves the root cause to deliver reliable, real-world results.

  • Results-Based Curriculum — There are never any rigid time limits or set number of lessons. Because real results and lasting behavior changes take more care, time, and effort than most trainers are willing to provide.

  • Environmental Rehabilitation — We won't send your dog away to a facility or hide in a group class. True modification happens where the triggers are—in your home and neighborhood. You get 100% specialist attention where your life actually happens.

  • Root-Cause Resolution — We'll use the latest canine learning theory to address the source of your dog's fears, reactivity or aggression. We'll change how your dog feels and thinks so you can finally trust how they act.

Meet Your Pawfessor

My name is Dr. Rhiannon Sandoval

I cried everyday for a whole month when I first brought home my rescue Rottweiler, Klaus. From multiple chewed leashes, to barking and full-force lunging at other dogs (and even biting one), to separation anxiety resulting in a destroyed apartment and broken car window, to not going potty on walks, I was at a breaking point.

I decided he was stuck with me, so it was time to get to work.

As a PhD in Geophysics, I shifted my research and problem-solving skills to canine behavior to help Klaus (and later, my other dogs) overcome a variety of problems (like severe food aggression) and learn important life skills (like not bolting out of an open door).

Now, I apply that same analytical rigor to help people like you reclaim freedom and peace of mind.

FAQ

  • What methods do you use? — I use evidence-based behavioral modification focused on canine learning theory. We'll strategically use motivators to change how your dog thinks and feels. My protocols never involve fear-based tools like shock or prong collars, as I've seen those tools and methods cause more behavior problems.

  • What areas do you serve? — I travel to homes in Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Placitas, Sandia Park, and Tijeras. For clients outside these areas, I offer high-impact virtual and hybrid coaching that delivers the same results-based outcomes as my in-person sessions.

  • What kind of dogs do you work with? — Every breed and every behavior. From fearful Chihuahuas, to overstimulated Border Collies, to Rottweilers with a bite history, I specialize in the cases other trainers turn away or give up on. Whether your dog is 8 weeks or 8 years old, if they have a complex behavioral challenge, I can help.

  • How much do you charge? — I don't sell hours. Because I stay with you until your goals are reached—without lesson counting or expiration dates—this is the last investment you'll need to make in your dog’s training. Final pricing is customized to your dog's history and your specific goals and preferences, which we will determine during your Case Review.

  • How long will training take? — While permanent behavioral modification is a process—averaging 4 to 6 months for significant changes to take hold—most owners see a noticeable shift in their dog’s management and stress levels after our very first lesson. We won't be watching the clock; I'll stay with you until the behavior is resolved and you have the peace of mind you're looking for.
